Young Frankenstein (1974)

Old Favorite
Since I am trying to develop a library of some of my favorite movies, I had to get a copy of Young Frankenstein. It isn't as funny as Blazing Saddles but it is an enjoyable movie with a number of laughs. I see something new in it each time I watch it.

Mel Brooks comic spoof of the 1930's era horror films hits dead on. It is without a doubt one of the funniest movies ever made. Gene Wilder is not better anywhere, not to mention the stellar performances of the late great Madeleine Khan and Marty Feldman. Somehow, even the cheesiest humor shown in this movie is funny-but isn't that a Mel Brooks signature?
