My Husband and I viewed this movie when it first came out, and enjoyed it. Seeing it again proved to be just as exciting, seldom does this happen. Kevin Costner either chooses his scripts carefully,or, he has the ability to turn that which could be ridiculous into thoroughly entertaining viewing.

Waterworld hd takes the original and makes it even better!
The original movie was great to begin with but now with the hi-def dvd version, everything is so cisp and clear. The water looks like your there.

FIRST OF ALL....
THIS MOVIE IS QUITE GOOD AND ALLOT OF FUN, ITS NOT AS BAD AS PEOPLE OR REVIEWERS KEPT MAKING OUT IT WAS, I ENJOYED IT AND WATCHED IT A FEW TIMES SINCE ITS RELEASE!
NOW....
THE HD-DVD VERSION IS EXCELLENT! THE PICTURE IS EXCELLENT CONSIDERING THE MOVIE WAS DONE IN THE LATE 90'S, THE PICTURE I HAVE TO ADMIT LOOKS AS GOOD AS THE RECENT MOVIE'S THAT HAVE COME OUT ON THE FORMAT!
NO SPECIAL FEATURES WHICH IS A SHAME BUT A GREAT MOVIE NONE THE LESS!
