The War of the Roses (1989)

A rollercoaster ride with impeccable performances!
This film should be on every best movie list of all time. This is also one of the best performances that Kathleen Turner and Michael Douglas have ever done. If you think you're in love, just wait, and watch this movie first, you'll be glad you did.

Or maybe make the demon? This dark comedy will always make me think of Feb. 14.
Let's face it--Valentines Day was probably created to make single people feel like dirt. One V-day back when I was single I watched this to try to cheer myself up. Boy did it work!
You know how Fatal Attraction eliminates any urges you might have to cheat on your lover? Well, this comical jaunt will no doubt make you grateful to be alone!
Watch the happiness drain from this married couple and be refilled with absolute hatred. Fighting, plotting, scheming--their evil vindictive ways know no boundaries as they try to one-up the other. Killing the household pet, peeing in the soup--nothing is off limits. Watching each battle is all so funny, you'll do whatever it takes to avoid this fiasco. Just sit back and enjoy the War.

This movie was always one of my favorites. A recent divorce has made it my current favorite. Kathleen Turner is a Genius. Its a twisted and sick story that seems a completely true, accurate and a believable portrayal of partnership, marriage and the big split. I love it.
