Lethal Weapon 2 (1989) |
Reviews and Comments

more fun and mayhem with Mel Gibson and Danny Glover(and Joe Pesci)to me,this is a better movie than the first one.it's got much more
action,it's more exciting,and faster paced.it's also funnier.the
characters are better defined, and the storyline is better.i also think
this movie had a better villain than the first.this time, along with
Danny Glover and Mel Gibson,Joe Pesci is along for the ride, and
provides some laughs.also, there is more banter between Gibson and
Glover.the movie is just more compelling all around.the first one was a
bit slow at times, but not so with this one.for me,Lethal Weapon 2 is a
3.5/5

Not much differenceNot much difference between standard DVD and Blu Ray version of this movie. For those of you looking to "build" Blu Ray collection, steer clear of some of the older stuff since it might not be worth the extra dollars, especially if you already own it on DVD and your player will upconvert it anyway!

Varying QualityOverall, a good movie; however the visual clarity was somewhat mixed.
I have a 46" Sharp LCD paired with a PS3 via HDMI, other movies look excellent, little to no visual artifacts (Planet Earth, The Christmas Story, Oceans 13, Casino Royale, 5th Element, etc); however it was very clear in the opening scenes that it was pretty much just an upscale, not a native remaster.
Overall, I didn't have it already, so now I do, but some scenes were cleaner than others (ie: the infamous Mel and the girl getting shot at in their trainer; clearly remasterd, very clean)
I give it a 4 star since it looks better than when I saw it in the theatre
