The Fifth Element (1997) |
Reviews and Comments

DatedThis was an innovative and wonderful movie when it came out. However, the sets and special effects are dated. The blu ray version doesn't do much to improve the visual quality. The sets look like cardboard and the cars, which are suppose to be futuristic, are funny. Compare the movie to Blade Runner and you will see a major difference. Buy Blade Runner instead--it's a better movie with exciting visual effects.

One of the most creative sci movies to date, even better in high defFifth Element has been one of my favorite movies, with its rich and well integrated sound track, creative lines, rich cast, and action scenes. In fact, this movie (Superbit Edition) used to be one of my test DVDs in the pre HD world.
The movie looks even better in high definition. Scenes are more detailed, colors more brilliant, and had no concerns about black levels or depth.
If you love the movie, this is worth having a replacement of your standard def edition.

Great quality BLU RAYI always though that the director's movies are a little bit over the top except
This movie is a bit annoying too.
But I bought this Blu-Ray disc because this movie is a Science fiction film and I liked the visual.
The disc is almost perfect in terms of picture and sound.
I wonder when there will be true 7.1 released but other than that, this disc is truly satisfied.
